Origin Stories, Part 6: The God of the Undeserving
God chooses to identify Himself as the "God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob".
As we've seen, Abraham was a man of great faith, so it makes sense that God would claim him. But God also claims Isaac and Jacob. Isaac is insignificant and Jacob is a liar. Why would God claim them? Because God is attracted to weakness and His people never get what they deserve.
